First day on board

On the morning of the 12th, the agent of the ship picked us up at our hotels to take us on board. We arrived around 9 AM and got our cabins. Then we had to unload our equipment, stored in our container which was loaded on the ship in Brest at the end of May. Our colleagues in the seismology team emptied their container as well and we were able to start installing the equipment in the ship’s laboratories. We occupy the three laboratories on the starboard side of the ship, called wet laboratories. Then a few meetings with the crew and officers and between us and free evening in Mindelo, to enjoy the land one last time before the six weeks of sea waiting for us.
